Clover Time Trait Tier List
S–C rankings for every trait, with roll chances, exact bonuses, early keepers, and when to spend tickets.
Traits are the third permanent passive layer in Clover Time, sitting beside races and social classes. They will not outscale a bad grimoire, but a Mythic or Legendary trait quietly improves every fight—more regen, more mana, more EXP, or more Yuls. This page ranks the current trait pool, lists rates and effects, and shows a practical reroll plan. Use it with the Tier List Hub and How to reroll when you decide whether tonight’s tickets go into traits or race.
Early game, a couple of common/uncommon traits feel surprisingly good. Late game, you want Rare or higher, with Chosen One and Mana Sensitive as the true end goals.

S tier — stop spinning
Chosen One (Mythic 0.56%)
Chosen One is the broadest trait in the game:
- +10% Health
- +25% HP regen
- +10% Stamina
- +25% Stamina regen
- +10% Mana
- +25% Mana regen
- +7.5% EXP
It buffs survivability, uptime, and leveling in one roll. Pair it with Devil or Elf and any Tier I/II book for a ridiculous all-rounder. If Chosen One lands, stop trait spins immediately—redirect tickets to race/social class or bank them.
Mana Sensitive (Legendary 1.43%)
Mana Sensitive is the specialist S-tier:
- +10% Health regen
- +12.5% Mana
- +35% Mana regen
The +35% Mana regen line is why spell-spam builds treat this as equal priority to Chosen One. Elf + Mana Sensitive + Anti Magic/Poison/Lightning-style kits feel permanently “on.” Prefer Mana Sensitive when your grimoire is mana-hungry and your race already covers HP.
A tier — excellent long-term parks
High Mana (Rare 14.72%)
- +25 Mana
- +17.5% Mana regen
High Mana is the best common-path magic trait. At Rare odds it appears often enough that many accounts should refuse to live below it once they have spare tickets. Perfect bridge while hunting Legendary/Mythic.
Strong Body (Epic 3.21%)
- +7.5% Health
- +22.5% HP regen
- +5% Stamina
- +12.5% Stamina regen
Strong Body is the durability A-tier. Take it if you play closer ranges (Chain, some Flame lines) or still get punished while learning controls. It is also a great partner for races that already dump into mana (Elf) but leave you squishy.
B tier — strong early, replace later
Fast Learner (Uncommon 15.19%)
- +5% Mana regen
- +10% EXP
Fast Learner is the best beginner leveling trait. The EXP bump shortens the awkward hours before your race and social class are upgraded. Keep it through mid game; replace when High Mana+ appears.
Coin Eye (Common 16.57%)
- +2.5% Mana regen
- +5% Yuls
Coin Eye looks humble but pairs beautifully with Merchant social class and fishing/crystal loops. Extra Yuls buy rods and crafts that feed the Grimoire Tower. Treat Coin Eye as a temporary economy trait, not an endgame identity.
C tier — reroll when convenient
Iron Lungs (Uncommon 15.19%)
- +2.5% Stamina
- +20% Stamina regen
Useful only if you constantly empty stamina dodge-rolling. Still outclassed by Strong Body and the S-tier spreads.
Thick Skin (Common 16.57%)
- +4% Health
- +7.5% HP regen
Minor tankiness. Fine for minute one; wrong after you understand the ticket economy.
Steady Hands (Common 16.57%)
- +4% Stamina
- +7.5% Stamina regen
Same story as Thick Skin—tiny stamina comfort, no long-term claim on your ticket bank.
Early vs late trait strategy
Hours 0–5
- Happy with Fast Learner or Coin Eye.
- Do not dump every ticket into traits while you are still on Human/Peasant and a Tier III book.
- Prioritize Getting Started objectives, codes, and a usable grimoire.
Mid account
- Target High Mana or Strong Body as your floor.
- Align with race goals: mana races love High Mana; brawlier play loves Strong Body.
- Keep Merchant/Sovereign farms going so tickets and crystals refill.
End goals
- Chosen One for generalists and EXP.
- Mana Sensitive for casters.
- Only greed beyond that if you are swapping playstyles (for example, moving from Strong Body into Mana Sensitive after locking Elf).
How to reroll traits
Traits share the same UI as race and social class:
- Open the Menu (top right) → Customize → Rolls, then select Traits.
- Or walk into the church in Hage Village and talk to the Priest.
Both routes open the same pools. Step-by-step screenshots and ticket sources live on How to reroll. Never confuse this menu with the Grimoire Tower—books still cost Mana Crystals at the tower (how to get a Grimoire).
Synergy cheat sheet
- Chosen One + Devil + Sovereign — Maximum hybrid farm/combat account.
- Mana Sensitive + Elf + Anti Magic/Poison — Spell uptime monster; see grimoire tiers.
- High Mana + Merchant + fishing — Budget caster economy while pity climbs.
- Strong Body + Human-Dwarf + Tier II book — Comfortable mid-game starter that still clears.
- Fast Learner → replace — Level boost only; schedule the upgrade.
For finished presets, check Best builds. For sibling rankings, open races & social classes and the hub. Patch notes land on Updates; community links sit on the wiki index.
Ticket discipline
Traits are easy to over-roll because common options appear constantly. Rules of thumb:
- Do not chase Chosen One before you own a Tier II+ grimoire and a Dwarf+ race.
- Accept High Mana / Strong Body as success for weeks.
- Convert duplicate low-value tickets only when codes or bosses refill the bank.
- If you are one good race ticket from Elf/Human-Dwarf, race first—traits multiply a strong race more than they rescue a Human.

Pick a B-tier comfort trait on day one, climb to A-tier as soon as tickets allow, and treat Chosen One / Mana Sensitive as the only spins worth celebrating.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Clover Time questions.
What is the best trait in Clover Time?
Chosen One (Mythic) is the best generalist with bonuses across health, stamina, mana, regen, and EXP. Mana Sensitive (Legendary) is equally S-tier for spell spam thanks to +35% Mana regen.
Are Fast Learner and Coin Eye good?
Yes as early B-tier keeps. Fast Learner speeds leveling; Coin Eye helps Yuls during crystal farms. Replace both once you can hit High Mana, Strong Body, or better.
How do I reroll traits?
Use Menu → Customize → Rolls and select Traits, or talk to the Priest inside the church in Hage Village. Trait rolls are separate from Grimoire Tower Mana Crystal spins.
Should I take High Mana or Strong Body?
Take High Mana for caster uptime and Strong Body if you need survivability or play closer range. Both are A-tier parks until Chosen One or Mana Sensitive appears.
What traits are C-tier?
Iron Lungs, Thick Skin, and Steady Hands. They offer small stamina or health comfort but are not worth protecting once you have tickets for Rare or higher traits.
Should I roll traits before races?
Usually no. Leave Human/Peasant first, secure a usable grimoire, then raise traits to High Mana or Strong Body. Mythic trait greed makes more sense after race and book floors are set.
