How to Reroll in Clover Time
Change Race, Social Class, and Traits — and know when to use Mana Crystals instead.
Rerolling is how you escape a weak identity kit in Clover Time. AnimeCore Studio split customization into two families: Race / Social Class / Traits on one track, and Grimoires on another. Mixing them up wastes currencies. This guide shows both Menu and Hage Priest paths for the first family, explains why Grimoire spins stay at the tower with Mana Crystals, and gives practical keep/sell rules for beta. Start from Getting Started if you have not finished Hage yet, and keep Controls handy — menu access begins with M.
For target rolls, cross-check the tier list pages for Races, Traits, and Grimoires. Free spins and crystals often arrive through Codes. More how-tos sit on the Guides Hub, including How to Get a Grimoire.
What you can reroll (and what you cannot here)
| System | How you change it | Currency / access |
|---|---|---|
| Race | Customize Rolls or Hage Priest | Race rerolls / spins |
| Social Class | Customize Rolls or Hage Priest | Class rerolls / spins |
| Traits | Customize Rolls or Hage Priest | Trait rerolls / spins |
| Grimoire | Grimoire Tower only | Mana Crystals |
Race grants passive stats (health, mana, EXP, regen, and more). Social Class leans into perks and economy/combat support. Traits add special effects on top of raw numbers. None of those three spend Mana Crystals. If your goal is a new magic book — Anti-Magic, Poison, Ice, and so on — leave this page and follow the tower guide instead.
Method 1 — Menu → Customize → Rolls
This is the fastest path when you are already mid-session:
- Press M to open the menu.
- Enter Customize.
- Switch to the Rolls tab at the top.
- Select Race, Social Class, or Traits.
- Confirm you want to spend a reroll and accept the new result.
Always read your current bonuses before confirming. Rerolls replace what you have; there is no “preview keep” safety net called out in early beta docs. If you are holding a rare Race such as Devil or Sovereign, or a Trait like Chosen One / Mana Sensitive, think twice before gambling it away for a slight curiosity pull.
Method 2 — Hage Village church Priest
Prefer talking to an NPC? Return to Hage Village, enter the church, and speak with the Hage Priest. The Priest opens the same Race / Social Class / Trait reroll menus available in Customize. Use this when you are already in town for quests, banking materials, or teaching a friend the loop.
Steps:
- Travel to Hage Village (broom H after unlock, or walk).
- Enter the church.
- Interact with the Hage Priest.
- Open the reroll menu you need.
- Spend the matching reroll currency.
Functionally identical results — pick Menu or Priest based on convenience, not power.
Where reroll items come from
You will see Race, Class, and Trait rerolls from:
- Codes — redeem everything on the Codes list first.
- Shop purchases — Robux or in-game shop bundles when offered.
- Gameplay rewards — chests, milestones, and occasional boss-related drops depending on the patch.
Stockpile instead of spending every spin the moment it lands. Rarity curves are steep at the top; burning ten spins randomly is worse than saving for a focused session after you read the current Races and Traits rankings.
Smart reroll priorities for beta
- Secure a playable Grimoire first if combat feels empty — tower crystals matter more than a perfect Trait when you cannot clear quests. See How to Get a Grimoire for Finral, compass 105–120, fragment crafting, fishing, and pity (Epic 35 / Legendary 70 / Mythical 175).
- Raise Race next if you care about EXP or sustain while farming Mana Wolves and chests.
- Tune Traits once your Race is acceptable; Traits shine when stacked on a kit you already enjoy.
- Social Class can wait if Merchant-style economy perks are “good enough,” unless you are chasing a specific S-tier class listed on community charts.
S-tier names shift with patches, but Devil / Sovereign-style Races and high-end Traits repeatedly show up in early rankings. Merchant and other A-tier classes can be intentionally kept for cash flow. Confirm with Best Builds before you dump a pile of spins.
Common mistakes
- Spending Mana Crystals expecting a Race change — crystals are tower-only.
- Rerolling a strong rare because chat hyped a different name — check the tier lists first.
- Ignoring codes before a reroll session — free spins beat farmed spins.
- Rerolling mid-boss with no exit plan — finish the fight, return to Hage or open M safely.
- Forgetting sibling systems — broom travel, gather loops, and AFK World still fund your crystal side even while you chase Traits.
After you lock a kit
With Race, Class, Trait, and Grimoire aligned, push quests, squad content, and bosses. Use Updates when AnimeCore retunes rates. Browse Scripts only if you understand Roblox enforcement risk. For a full site map, open the Wiki index and keep the Guides Hub bookmarked.
Rerolling in Clover Time is simple once you separate the two currencies: Customize / Priest for identity rolls, Mana Crystals at the tower for Grimoires. Use the right door, spend on purpose, and let pity plus codes do the heavy lifting.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Clover Time questions.
How do I reroll Race in Clover Time?
Press M → Customize → Rolls and select Race, or talk to the Priest inside the Hage Village church. Both open the same reroll menu.
Can I reroll Traits and Social Class the same way?
Yes. Race, Social Class, and Traits all use Customize Rolls or the Hage Priest. Each spends its own reroll type.
Do Mana Crystals reroll Race?
No. Mana Crystals are spent at the Grimoire Tower for Grimoire spins only.
Where is the Hage Priest?
Inside the church in Hage Village. Enter the church and interact with the Priest to open reroll menus.
Should I reroll immediately on a Common Race?
Redeem codes first, keep anything that helps EXP or survivability, then reroll with a target from the Races tier list instead of spinning blindly.
What is the difference between Grimoire pity and identity rerolls?
Grimoire pity tracks tower spins (Epic ~35, Legendary ~70, Mythical ~175). Race/Class/Trait rerolls are separate counters and currencies.
