Getting Started

Clover Time is AnimeCore Studio’s Black Clover–inspired Roblox Action RPG. Beta kicked off around October 2026, and your first session decides whether you feel strong in Hage Village or stuck without magic. This getting-started guide walks the intended loop in order: create a character, roll Race / Social Class / Traits, finish the tutorial, gather, unlock the broom, reach the Grimoire Tower, then branch into quests, bosses, squads, and AFK World.

Before you fight anything important, redeem every active entry on the Codes page. Early codes often grant spins, Mana Crystals, chests, or EXP buffs that compress hours of grinding. Keep this wiki open on Guides Hub so you can jump to How to Get a Grimoire, Controls, and How to Reroll when a system pops up mid-tutorial.

Step 1 — Create your mage and first rolls

Launch Clover Time from Roblox and create a character. During onboarding you roll three identity systems that sit underneath your Grimoire:

  • Race — passive stats (health, mana, EXP, regen, and more). Rarer races like Devil or Sovereign dominate farming and survivability charts.
  • Social Class — perk-oriented rolls; higher rarity usually means better economy or combat support.
  • Traits — special effects plus stat pads. Strong traits such as Chosen One or Mana Sensitive multiply your early curve.

You do not need perfect S-tier results on minute one. Keep anything Rare+ that helps EXP or mana, then plan targeted rerolls later. Race / Class / Trait rerolls use a different menu than Grimoire crystals — details are in How to Reroll. For current rankings, skim Races and Traits on the tier list hub.

Step 2 — Hage Village tutorial and gathering

You spawn in Hage Village, the starter hub. Follow the tutorial markers closely. The game wants you comfortable with movement, basic combat, and local NPCs before you leave. While you clear early objectives, weave in gathering:

  • Chop trees for wood-style materials.
  • Fish in nearby water once you have a rod — fish feed crafting chains that produce Mana Crystal fragments.
  • Mine nodes when the tutorial or nearby quests point you at them.

Gathering is not filler. Mana Crystals — the currency for Grimoire spins — come from chests, world pickups, crafted fragments (Mana Wolves and fishing), and code rewards. Building a habit of chopping/fishing/mining in the first hour means you are not crystal-broke when you finally reach the tower.

Learn the keyboard layout early. Default movement is WASD, Shift sprints, Space jumps, Control toggles shift-lock, M opens the menu, and H summons your broom after the broom quest. Skill keys are commonly E / R / Z / X / C; Anti-Magic awakening often uses G. Full bind notes live on Controls.

Step 3 — Broom quest and travel

On foot, the map feels large. The broom quest unlocks flight and makes the Grimoire Tower commute painless. Complete the quest as soon as Hage offers it, then practice summoning with H. Flying also helps you scout chests and world Mana Crystal spawns while you explore between quests.

If an NPC named Finral is available in the starting village, talk to him — he can teleport you toward the Grimoire Tower. Otherwise, follow your compass between headings 105 and 120 and travel forward by broom or on foot until the tower comes into view.

Step 4 — First Grimoire at the tower

Your first Grimoire is the real power spike. At the tower, spend Mana Crystals to roll magic. The gacha includes a pity track: Epic at 35, Legendary at 70, and Mythical at 175 unsuccessful pushes toward those rarities. Keep a playable result if it is already strong for PvE — community rankings currently favor Anti-Magic and Poison, with Ice, Explosive Flame, and Battle Lightning as solid backups. Full rankings: Grimoires tier list. Deep crystal farming steps: How to Get a Grimoire.

Do not dump every crystal chasing Mythical on day one unless you enjoy the gamble. A mid-rarity Grimoire that you can actually use will clear quests faster than an empty inventory and a dream.

Step 5 — Quests, bosses, squads, AFK World

With a Grimoire equipped, return to quest givers, raise your combat comfort, and start looking at bosses when your HP/mana pool can survive a mistake. Squads help for harder content; join when your kit is online. AFK World is for longer resource sessions once you understand what you are farming (fragments, chests, or materials for craft).

Allocate stat points with a plan — mana and magic-related stats usually matter once skills are unlocked. When you are ready for curated loadouts, open Best Builds. Track balance changes on Updates, and use the Wiki index if you need a site-wide map.

Day-one checklist

  1. Redeem all working codes.
  2. Accept a workable Race / Class / Trait set; note what you will reroll later.
  3. Finish Hage tutorial objectives without skipping gather prompts.
  4. Unlock the broom; practice H flight.
  5. Reach the tower via Finral or compass 105–120.
  6. Roll a usable Grimoire; save crystals if pity is close to a rarity you want.
  7. Read sibling guides on this hub and bookmark Scripts only if you accept Roblox rule risks.

Follow this order and Clover Time’s beta opening stops feeling chaotic. You will know why each system exists, where to spend currencies, and which wiki page to open when the next question appears.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Clover Time questions.

Where do new Clover Time players spawn?

You start in Hage Village. Complete the local tutorial, gather resources, unlock the broom, then travel to the Grimoire Tower.

Should I reroll Race before getting a Grimoire?

Keep a usable Race/Trait early, redeem codes for free spins, then reroll with purpose. Your first Grimoire usually matters more for immediate combat power.

How do I reach the Grimoire Tower quickly?

Ask Finral in Hage for a teleport, or fly/walk toward compass heading 105–120 after the broom quest.

What should I spend Mana Crystals on first?

Your first Grimoire roll at the tower. After you have a playable magic set, farm more crystals via chests, fragments, fishing craft, and codes.

Which keys do I need on day one?

WASD move, Shift sprint, Space jump, Control shift-lock, M menu, H broom after unlock. Skills often use E/R/Z/X/C.

Where do I go after the tutorial loop?

Quests and gathering first, then bosses and squads when ready, plus AFK World for longer farms. Use Best Builds and the tier lists to refine rolls.
